Have you ever wanted to put on the brakes, take a moment to breathe, slow the pace, ‘indulge’ in a moment of peace to gather your thoughts?
How does one get back on track, energised and focused?
Reiki, is an ancient hands-on Japanese healing technique that can benefit our wellbeing by supporting the body, mind and spirit. On receiving a Reiki healing, many people express:
- Deep sense of relaxation
- Restored energy levels
- Improved clarity of mind
The modern malaise of multi-tasking, juggling work and home, pervasive social media and electronic communications, all pressure you for an immediate response. Sometimes the pressure seems too much. We experience restlessness, poor sleep and often a weakened immune system.
The physical body screams out for relief. The emotions run riot. Dis-ease can surface. It’s time to act. Time for some important life choices.
How can Reiki help?
What if you could absorb the benefits of four hours of sleep in less than one whole hour?
Research tells us that Reiki, an ancient Japanese healing technique, can benefit our wellbeing by supporting the body, mind and spirit.
“Patients who received 20 minutes of Reiki treatment within three days of suffering a heart attack showed improved outcomes.”
There has been much scientific research that documents Reiki’s benefits of reduced stress, better mental acuity, cardiac health and pain management.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a natural, relaxing and powerful energy healing system used by millions of people. A practitioner channels strong, positive energy, creating an environment of relaxation for the body to naturally heal itself. It can balance the chakras and cleanse the aura.
Literally translated Reiki means; Universal life force (“rei”) energy (“ki”). The practitioner acts as a conduit, channelling Reiki by placing their hands on specific positions on the client’s body. These hand positions relate to the main energy centres (chakras). Each chakra is responsible for the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspect of the body. The chakras are cleansed and the aura balanced.
What happens in a Reiki treatment?
You’ll be invited to rest on the massage table fully clothed. Soft music may be played, creating a relaxing environment. The practitioner often explains the significance of each point of energy focus.
During the session you might feel a tingling of energy flow, butterflies in the stomach. You may even sleep. But you will be relaxed. Every healing experience is different.
Each session can take 1 – 1.5 hours.
Reiki is a specific frequency of energy healing. To give a treatment the practitioner must be attuned to Reiki energy by a registered Reiki Master Teacher.
The next time you feel under pressure, lacking in energy, or simply need to release emotional strain, why not consider Reiki to help?
